After graduating from Auburn University (BSIE, thank heavens he never had to use it!), Mark began his consulting career in Atlanta with Arthur Andersen & Co. in 1982. Convinced there had to be a better way to provide value to his clients, Mark founded Decision Resources Inc. in 1987. For the next 8 years he both ran the company and provided consulting services to his major clients. In 1995, he and Paul Lauritzen founded ProActive with the mission to help their clients Do More and Spend Less. Married twenty-five years to Darlene Guth (a beautiful woman with tolerance and patience in saintly proportions), Mark is the father of two teenage boys, Derek (who is attending Auburn) and Matt (who is a high school senior), and enjoys spending time with his family. His hobbies include motorcycling (he and Matt also ride off-road together), baseball (Derek throws harder and hits farther than he ever could), playing guitar (the family insists I do this with the door closed) and tennis. He attends North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, GA and his greatest wish is to one day convince his non-believing friends to attend service with him there just once - it would change their lives forever.
